Own Your Morning. Own Your Day.

Hey Winners! Today, we are discussing a common problem that many business owners are experiencing. They tell me, “John, I’m maxed out, man. How do I plow through all this stuff?” You know what? I totally relate to this problem.

I hired my own coach back in May of 2015. One of the things I’ve learned from my coach is to own my morning. You have got to own your morning. You are a business owner, not an employee. Own your morning. It’s your business. You determine what time you’re going to get going for the day. If your company requires that you be there to get started, you need to fix that. You can fix that with systems and having the right people in the right spots.

Ever since I’ve switched to owning my morning, I’ve been able to:

> Get up three hours before I have to be anywhere
> Get enough sleep
> Sit down, plan out my day, and write out my goals
> Have coffee with people important to me and spend lots of time with my kid
> Map out and meditate and be very clear about what I want to get done each day

I got more stuff done in my first 75 days of working with my coach than I had gotten done all year long. So, here’s the point. When you take the time to own your morning and step back from working in your business, it allows you to work on your business. You will find this gives you peace of mind, makes you a lot happier and less stressed, and you will get a whole lot more done. You will actually fall back in love with your business.

I know this because that’s what has happened to me. I absolutely love what I do, but I was getting to the point where I wasn’t loving it anymore. Steve helped me turn that around. That’s one of the powers of having a mentor or a coach. Find somebody who will mentor you and go to work on getting back to why you started your business in the first place. Fall back in love with what you do. When you love what you do and enjoy every day, you can significantly impact this world.

You’ve only got one life to live, so go out and make it happen! I hope this post has been helpful for you. Share it with others, and find a mentor to help you work on your business!
